New Version of Android :

Android Nougat

Android 7.0-7.1 "Nougat"is the seventh major version of the Android operating system. First released as a beta build on March 9, 2016 .It was officially released on August 22, 2016, with Nexus devices being the first to receive the update.

Nougat introduces notable changes to the operating system and its development platform, including the ability to display multiple apps on-screen at once in a split-screen view, support for inline replies to notifications, as well as an OpenJDK-based Java environment and support for the Vulkan graphics rendering API, and "seamless" system updates on supported devices.

On March 9, 2016, ahead of the Google I/O developer conference, Google released the first beta of Android "N" as part of a new "Android Beta Program" intended for testing by developers and enthusiasts before official release "this summer". The developer preview builds were compatible with only current Google Nexus devices; the 5X6P69,Pixel C, and Nexus Player. The "Android Beta Program" that was introduced allows testers to opt-in for over-the-air updates to new beta versions as they are released.

Advantages :
  • Template updates: We're updating notification templates to put a new emphasis on hero image and avatar. Developers will be able to take advantage of the new templates with minimal adjustments in their code.
  • Messaging style customization: You can customize more of the user interface labels associated with your notifications using the MessagingStyleclass. You can configure the message, conversation title, and content view.
  • Bundled notifications: The system can group messages together, for example by message topic, and display the group. A user can take actions, such as Dismiss or Archive, on them in place. If you’ve implemented notifications for Android Wear, you’ll already be familiar with this model.
  • Direct reply: For real-time communication apps, the Android system supports inline replies so that users can quickly respond to an SMS or text message directly within the notification interface.
  • Custom views: Two new APIs enable you to leverage system decorations, such as notification headers and actions, when using custom views in notifications.

Android Marshmallow

Android 6.0 "Marshmallow":

             Released date(GA): oct 5,2015

Features:

Android Marshmallow introduces a redesigned application permission model. there are now only eight permission categories, and applications are no longer automatically granted all of their specified permissions at installation time.

An opt-in system is now used, in which users are prompted to grant or deny individual permissions (such as the ability to access the camera or microphone) to an application when they are needed for the first time.

Marshmallow introduces a new power management scheme known as "Doze"; when running on battery power, a device will enter a low-power state if it is inactive and not being physically handled. In this state, network connectivity and background processing is restricted, and only "high-priority" notifications are processed.

Android Marshmallow provides native support for fingerprint recognition on supported devices via a standard API, allowing third-party applications to implement fingerprint-based authentication. Fingerprints can be used for unlocking devices and authenticate.

HP outs NFC and wireless mobile printing solution for homes and offices:

HP has introduced the 1200w Mobile Print Accessory, a device aimed at simplifying the process of printing documents from mobile devices.
The 1200w, which connects to a printer's free USB port, allows you to print from a mobile device's local storage or from the cloud by walking up to the box and tapping any NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet on it.
Alternatively, it can create the equivalent of Wi-Fi access point that you can connect to and print from if NFC isn't in your mobile device's box of tricks.

Peer-to-print:

This saves businesses from having to set up company Wi-Fi networks specifically used for printing tasks, HP says, as the 1200w uses a peer-to-peer connection that offers 128-bit encryption.
HP says it's worked closely with leading mobile device manufacturers including Apple, Microsoft, and Samsung to make sure that you won't have to download an app to get it to work.
And if you do find that your mobile device doesn't have built in print support, you can download for HP's ePrint app to get the job done.
HP's NFC/Wireles 1200w Mobile Print Accessory is compatible with the company's LaserJet and multi-function printers from 2008 onwards that are equipped with a USB port. We've contacted HP for price and availability.

Office 2013 review:

Office 2013 is the latest refresh of Microsoft's near ubiquitous Office suite. The latest version sees it get the Windows 8 treatment, with a touch-friendly interface and a sparser look, as well as new features in every application.
As part of the launch, Office has also reached a new landmark by going into the cloud with subscription pricing, on-demand installation and automatic syncing of settings and documents you save online rather than offline. It's called Office 365.That particular method of purchase ensures you're always up-to-date, even if the software changes.
While the main thing you'll notice with Office 2013 the new look, there are some really interesting features under the hood - though sadly not for Windows XPusers, who are now excluded. Office 2013 is strictly for Windows 7 and Windows 8 users.
As usual, there are multiple versions of Office 2013, but this time around the different editions are not just about whether you're using them at home or in a business or which applications are included.

Buying Office 2013:

Even if you decide you want to buy a pay-for-it-once-and-keep-it copy of Office 2013 in a box, you won't find a DVD inside – just a product key to unlock the software you download. (Buyers in "developing countries with limited internet access" can still get a DVD, but that's not an option in the UK or US.)
If you prefer to pay an annual subscription to get extra features, Office 365 editions let you download the Office 2013 applications onto multiple PCs (or share them with your family).
For home users, there are four options. Buy the boxed software and you can put it on one PC. Office Home and Student 2013 with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote costs £109.99/$139.99; Office Home and Business 2013 adds Outlook and costs £219.99/$219.99. Office Professional 2013 has the full set of programs for £389.99/$399.99; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access and Publisher.

UBUNTU -OPEN SOURCE OPERATING SYSTEM

Ubuntu  is a computer operating system based on the Debian Linux distribution and distributed as free and open source software, using its own desktop environment. It is named after the Southern African philosophy of ubuntu ("humanity towards others") or another translation would be: "the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity".
As of 2012, according to online surveys, Ubuntu is the most popular Linux distribution on desktop/laptop personal computers, and most Ubuntu coverage focuses on its use in that market. However, it is also popular on serversand for cloud computing.[citation needed]
Development of Ubuntu is led by Canonical, Ltd., a UK-based company owned by South African entrepreneur Mark Shuttleworth. Canonical generates revenue through the sale of technical support and services related to Ubuntu, and since version 12.10, by displaying advertisements in Unity Dash, the default file manager in desktop Ubuntu.According to Canonical, the Ubuntu project is committed to the principles of free software development; people are encouraged to use free software, improve it, and distribute it.
